The research has come up because of the preocupation about the weak performance of the students with assignments which demanded them to go to libraries. This fact has arisen interests in knowing how teachers direct and deal with the students' way of studying. The aim of the research is to show that the habit of some reading strategies help in the consensus arond main ideas. This has been achieved by offering a trainjng course to a group of teachers to prepare them for meaningful teaching and learning and development of reading skills. As a result, it was concluded that the training was efficient in changing the performance of the doers.
