The study reports the experience developed by the risk analysis nurse by a process of identification, evaluation and treatment of the professional and institutional risks, to which each hospital is exposed. Besides the liability related to quality, there is another regarding the Professional Liability, related to the work of the professionals within the institution. The data collection is done with the filling up of a form, formal and informal interview with the responsible for the services rendered. The result obtained identifies the potential risk factors, which can generate hospital and professional damages. The nurse elaborates the report, and, as a preventive strategy, lists recommendations. Conclusion: by carefully analyzing each risk, is possible to recommend the best way of managing it.
