The author purposes to study the nursing problems revealed by the adult patients hospitalized with respiratory diseases, wich were obtained by interview and sistematized observation.
The instrument nursing history employed for assessment was organized by the author who intends, also, to measure its efficiency.
The population consisted of 28 patients from 20 to 80 years old, 14 male and 14 female. The nursing problems were assessed and classified within ten areas. In the conclusion, the author lists all of these areas considered prioritary for nursing assistance: respiratory, nutritional and emotional. The nursing history was considered efficient.
The author also makes recommendations regarding pertinent advice improvement of nursing care to patients with respiratory disease.
