Abstract:
International Women's Day’s relevance has been evidenced by the interest and opposition of the right-wing parties. All Spanish political parties have taken a stand in one way or another around this event. In this article, we will analyse the responses of the three major Spanish conservative parties to 8M, the type of feminism or anti-feminism they propose, their repertoire of action, and their conception of women through critical discourse analysis and digital ethnography. We will demonstrate the gradualness, plurality, and divergence within the right-wing spectrum with respect to feminisms and anti-feminisms in the framework of a renewal promoted by the new political parties and the feminist movement in recent times.
