Developing a decolonial feminist epistemology

Abstract:

This paper aims to identify elements for the development of a decolonial feminist epistemology. The research, in its bibliographic and qualitative methodology, revisits the theories brought by hegemonic feminisms and, in particular, the criticism towards them as formulated by third world, decolonial and black women theorists. By examining the possibilities for the production of knowledge, which not only recognize the racist and colonial dynamics of modernity, but also satisfy the demands of racialized and peripheral women who are situated in colonized territories, it enables a look into other forms of knowledge making, such as intersectionality, collective experiences and social struggles.
