Abstract:
This paper analyzes the qualification process of the "anti-gender convergences" in Colombia between 2016 and 2022 by applying a critical discourse analysis through which the events and discursive entanglements present in both the events that made headlines in the Colombian press and the Twitter posts of the "anti-gender" legislators are identified. The analysis shows a convergence of actors and discourses seemingly unrelated to each other, where the fight against "gender ideology" becomes a semantic umbrella to generate political antagonisms, redefining an internal enemy in post-conflict times and signifying a national securitization/racist project that represents the continuity of the project of the country's political and economic elites.
