Arcabouço Estrutural da Ilha cristalina de Rivera (Uruguai) e sua implicação na potencialidade mineral

The Rivera Crystalline Island form a Precambrian basement window located in northern of Uruguay. Althoug its reduced area, this region plays a geoeconomical basic role in the Uruguay Oriental Republic, for several gold occurrences, specially gold quartz veins and a gold mine in activity (San Gregorio Mine). This work presents a structural analysis of the region based in geostructural, aerogeophysical and satellite image data. Based on geological elements, the gold occurrences structural control is availed in local and regional scale. Based on regional structural organization, the mineral potential, in west and east sectors is availed.
