Abstract
Civil society organizations (CSOs) dedicated to the migrant population transiting through Mexican territory carry out a wide range of humanitarian assistance and socio-political advocacy actions. Based on various sources (newspapers, review of academic literature and field work), this article analyzes the significance that the different actions of CSOs in the caravans had on the agency of the members of such caravans to the achievement of their immigration and political goals. Likewise, the main characteristics of the caravans are described, and their analysis is proposed as spaces for the development of migrant agency.
