Financial reform - general aspects and analysis of the complementary law

ABSTRACT

The Brazilian Constitution enacted in 1988 demands a complementary law to regulate the financial system in Brazil. This paper analyses the existing official project focusing on macroeconomic stabilization and independence of the Central Bank.
