Abstract
This article analyses the post-Restoration context of the portuguese monarchy to identify certain political-legal categories that often link to the notion of the right of legitimate resistance. In addition to identifying them, it is also necessary to note how their effervescence, circulation, and reception in discursive making were established, as well as its handling and employment strategies, and perhaps the possible adjustment towards the conveniences of the overseas spaces.
