Brazilian feminist studies: (re)knowing and continuing

ABSTRACT

The reviewed work is a collection of texts with initial research for the construction of a feminist epistemological perspective. 19 seminal articles were compiled, written by 20 researchers who worked or work in different Brazilian universities and similar institutions. The work aims to contribute to the elaboration of a Brazilian feminist theoretical production, based on central themes that are related to issues of race, gender, class and nationality. Therefore, this review presents the Brazilian feminist thought from its social, historical, political and cultural development based on the researches gathered in this work and which aim at the expansion, resistance and continuity of Brazilian feminist studies.
