ABSTRACT
This study investigates the relationship between Jundiaí’s Paulista Futebol Clube and Companhia Paulista de Estradas de Ferro during the first two decades of the 20th century. Through the crossing of information from the club’s sources and the database Ferrovia, Cidade e Trabalhadores, a conquista do Oeste (1850-1920), the study shows the profile of the railway workers that participated in the football club, revealing the paternalist dimension of the relations between the football team and the railway company.
