ABSTRACT
The review discusses different readings of the Anthropophagic Manifesto in the context of revisions of Brazilian Modernism propitiated by the Centennial of the Semana de 22 and puts into critical perspective the representations of black and indigenous people present in the anthropophagic metaphor.
