Abstract:
The objective was to discuss the historical relevance of the Paris Commune of 1871, even though a century and a half separates it from the present time. To this end, a bibliographic review of works by anarchist and communist authors was carried out and, fundamentally, an exhaustive analysis of Marx's work was carried out, especially A civil war in France, written on the occasion of the events of the Commune. It was concluded that the insurrection of the proletariat, which took place during the Paris Commune, gave rise to a decisive historical moment of contestation of class society, private property and bourgeois forms of social organization. In this sense, the return to the historical event of the Commune sheds light on the understanding of the developments of capitalist society, the paths taken by the struggles of the proletariat and the role played by the State.
