Abstract
This article has as its object the work of the social worker in companies, in view of the transformations brought about by the restructuring of production and work processes with the adoption of organizational and technological innovations. Based on the literature review and on the knowledge obtained through professional experiences, systematizations and investigations, the inferences indicate that changes in companies, in particular, with the expansion of information and communication technologies, give another aspect to the work of social workers, as well as modify the requirements of the professional profile and the working conditions.
