Abstract:
This article main goal is to contribute to the visibility of the academic-militant trajectory and the intellectual legacy of Lélia Gonzalez, seeking to present contributions to the advancement and maturation of the ethnic-racial debate in the Social Work professional formation. It is assumed that Lélia's broad intellectual background, given its relevance to the Brazilian Black Movement and to critical social thought, has fundamental contributions to the understanding of racism and sexism and the forms of resistance organized against it in the Brazilian particularity, enabling the apprehension of key categories for the effective and transversal incorporation of the ethnic-racial debate into the Social Work formation.
