Abstract:
The article analyzes ethics in Freire's educational praxis. It poses the following question: how are ethics articulated in the concept of education proposed by Paulo Freire? The article aims to: a) characterize ethics in Freire's educational praxis; b) analyze the centrality of socio-educational struggles as an objective expression of ethics; and c) define the relationship between ethics, education and emancipation based on Paulo Freire. The theoretical-methodological approach consists of a bibliographical review based on the identification of formulations on ethics in the works of Paulo Freire and authors who discuss his legacy for education, articulating this analysis based on class relations in capitalism. Addressing ethics in Paulo Freire allows us to reflect on the challenges and perspectives of educational praxis, generating emancipatory collective actions that make it possible to confront the contradictions and challenges of the capitalist crisis that marks the first quarter of the 21st century.
