First analyzes of the Brazilian Social Service on the racial issue

Abstract

With the objective of analyzing the racial issue and Social Work, this article recovers two Course Conclusion Papers of this profession. The first is from the 1960s, by Sebastião Rodrigues Alves. The second is from 1986, written by Elisabete Aparecida Pinto. Both astute critics of the myth of Brazilian racial democracy, nurture expectations about professional possibilities in the fight against racism.
