Abstract
This article presents research with social workers in the position of managers, operating in the areas of social assistance, health, and in the judiciary of the Federal District of Brazil, emphasizing the context of social protection policies. The objective was to analyze the social perceptions of these managers about the precariousness and interdisciplinarity of the work of social workers in their interaction with psychologists. The methodology is qualitative through semi-structured interviews. The results point to the precariousness of Social Work in the neoliberal context, with consequences of overload and stress in the professionals’ daily lives.
