We shall assume that the diagnosis, in psychoanalytical approach, is not determined by a classification of psychic disorders. To demonstrate that, we shall analyze the case of a young man whose psychosis did not occur according to an evident semiology (hallucination, delusion, speech disorder, etc.). The reconstruction of the subject’s identification processes, which had remained unfinished, will help us to establish the diagnosis of psychosis.
