O estupor melancólico e o estupor maníaco

The melancholic stupor and the maniac stupor are clinical diagnosis of the more complete apathy and motor inhibition, now became rare on account of psychiatric interventions. They seem to correspond to the top-pressure points of the bass instinct: this pressure is directed, respectively, against the very ego and against the objects – in that subject and that period of its life. In the condition of the clinical state of the insurmountable point of all the melancholy and all the mania, these two stupors will compose a real Lost Link between the melancholy and the mania for the psychoanalysis.

If the Pierre Fedida’s relic is, in the mourning, the fragment of permanence of what is dead, the Author proposes the pilrimage of the subject to the little tresor of its childhood as a regressive image appropriate to melancholy and to mania.
