Fenomenologia da depressão estado-limite

Once the concept of “borderline” or “limit state” was constituted, its use quickly widespread around the contemporary psychiatry.

Such concept was primarily built on the edge of neurosis and schizophrenic psychosis. In psychoanalysis, the psychogenesis of this limit state has mainly been formulated in terms of the object relationship theory. Borderline patients are supposed to have failed, in their primary childhood, to integrate in a sufficient way, into their relationships, their image of the Ego to their primordial motherly object image.

This paper, after assuming cleavage as the disturbance generator, proposes a theoretical base, first supposed from a purely clinical point of view, for the kinship between limit state and schizophrenia.
