Reúso de água e resíduos de lavagem de caminhões betoneiras: análise do efeito na resistência à compressão em novos concretos

ABSTRACT

The objective of this work is to analyze the effect of the reuse of water and washing residues of concrete mixers on the compressive strength of concretes. The method for analyzing the influence of these materials on compressive strength was to compare a control sample (standard 30 MPa trace) with samples of different compositions. The result of each sample was different according to its composition, however, it can be stated that the water and the washing residue did not significantly affect the compressive strength, since all the Samples with 100% cement gave results greater than 90% of the control sample.

It can be seen that the largest proportion of the particles of the washing residue is between 1 and 10 μm, the particles are thin and similar to those of the cement. It is noted by means of the x-ray fluorescence method, that no different chemical elements were found in the concrete residue, all appear in the cement.

It is also observed that there was no synthesis of new minerals, only small amounts (less than the detection limits of the x-ray diffraction method) of dissolved aluminosilicates and quartz, which were synthesized in new crystalline minerals, and can be attributed. As amorphous substances in the sol-gel state.
