The rehabilitation of concrete structures represents an opportunity for the construction industry as well as a challenge for the scientific community. The development of new repair mortars is thus an important research area. Gopolymers are innovative binders alternative to Portland cement being that the geopolymeric mortars present some advantages concerning the repair of concrete structures. This paper presents investigations results regarding the development of gepolymeric mortars based on a calcined Tunisian clay. A characterization of the clay is included as well as of the mortars hydration products that show typical geopolymeric phases.
