Abstract
Drosera sessilifolia is the only Droseraceae species recorded so far for the cangas of Serra dos Carajás. It is a widely distributed species in South America, however, this species has a locally restricted distribution, being found only in the Serra Sul (S11D). A detailed description, photographs, and comments on morphology and distribution of this species are presented here.
