Abstract
The authors redescribe two species of Trigoniaceae, Trigonia microcarpa Sagot ex Warming and T. laevis Aublet, validating T. microcarpa as a species and mantaining T. parviflora Benth. as its synonymity. They make out the occurrence of nectaries in the anterior region of the ovary and carry out some considerations about the characters that distinguish the two species studied. A map with the distribution of the species, illustrations and a pictoric diagram of fruit's variation are presented too.
