Abstract
The species of Cleomaceae that occur in the cangas of Serra dos Carajás, Pará state, Brazil, are described in this study. Morphological descriptions, illustrations, images and notes about the species are given here. Melidiscus giganteus and Tarenaya spinosa, both species with broad geographic distribution in the Neotropical region, were recorded in the area studied.
