The mountains in Delfinópolis and Capitólio, located at southeast of Minas Gerais state, are represented by cerrado sensu stricto, cerrado rupestre, campo sujo, campo limpo, campo rupestre, riparian, hillside and gallery forest. Bignoniaceae is represented in the area by 26 species in 13 genera. Jacaranda and Fridericia are represented by five and four species, respectively, followed by Adenocalymma,Anemopaegma and Cuspidaria with three species each. Amphilophium, Handroanthus, Lundia, Pleonotoma, Pyrostegia, Stizophyllum, Tanaecium and Zeyheria present one species each.
