Abstract

A floristic treatment is presented for the Verbenaceae in the Parque Nacional da Serra da Canastra, southwest of Minas Gerais, with vegetation represented predominantly by cerrados and campos rupestres. In total, eight taxa belonging to three genera were recorded: Lippia filifolia, L. lupulina, L. nana, L. rotundifolia, L. sericea, Petrea volubilis, Stachytarpheta longispicata subsp. brevibracteata and Stachytarpheta sp., which is possibly a new species. In order to recognize these taxa, descriptions of the species, identification key, pictures, geographic distribution, ecological and taxonomic comments are presented.
