Abstract
This study provides detailed descriptions, illustrations, and morphological comments of the species of Pontederiaceae reported to the cangas of Serra dos Carajás, Pará state: Heteranthera oblongifolia and Heteranthera reniformis. This is the first record of H. oblongifolia for the Northern region of Brazil.
