Araceae of Ibitipoca State Park, Minas Gerais, Brazil

The Ibitipoca State Park is located in the southeastern state of Minas Gerais, between latitudes 21°40'15"‒21°43'30"S and longitudes 43°52'35"‒43°54'15"W, totalling 1,488 hectares. Several vegetation formations are represented such the Atlantic forest and the campo rupestre vegetation. This study aimed to survey the species of Araceae of the Ibitipoca State Park, providing an identification key, descriptions, illustrations, information on habitat. Fertile samples were collected between 2004 and 2005 and incorporated into the herbaria RB and SPF. Ten species were recognized belonging to three genera: Anthurium Schott was the most diverse with five species, followed by Philodendron Schott with four. Asterostigma Fisch. & C.A. Mey. was represented by only one species.
