Abstract
This study presents the taxonomic treatment of Proteaceae for the canga formations of the Serra dos Carajás (Pará state, Brazil), where only one species was recorded, Roupala montana, taxon of wide morphological variation and Neotropical distribution. Detailed description, comments and illustration of the species are presented.
