Abstract
This study presents the only species of Thymelaeaceae recorded for the cangas of the Serra dos Carajás, in Pará state: detailed description, illustration and morphologic comments on the species are given. Daphnopsis filipedunculata is described to the Serra dos Carajás and this species is considered restricted to the canga formations in the region, recorded in only three areas of Serra Norte so far: N1, N2 and N5 plateaus.
