Crianças feiticeiras: reconfigurando família, igrejas e estado no pós-guerra angolano

Witchcraft accusations against children and adolescents had emerged recently in some African countries, especially in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In Angola, this phenomenon has been verified particularly among the Bakongo people. My initial objective will be to determine some of the factors that contribute to the emergence of this phenomenon in Angola, considering its ethnic bias. Other aim is to describe and analyze how Angolan State institutions, NGOs and churches have been constructing different perceptions, discourses and forms of interventions in relation to this issue, considering different notions of otherness, culture, family, church and community.
