An “Africanism” cultural with specific religious connections, at first, became a symbol of the “African diaspora” without that this emphasis on religious references and then into a work performed by Wonder Porto, recovered in the process ongoing revitalization, and place of tourism promotion. Finally, we discussed how today segments of the black movement and religious leaders seek to maintain the religious character and sacralized Pier, there promoting “Wash Valongo Wharf”.
