Abstract:
This article will analyze the debate about abortion in the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro from 2015 to 2017, considering the struggle for human rights and the presence of religious and lay agents in these disputes. It is a qualitative research with documentary analysis of the speeches and legislative propositions in the period under analysis located through search of keywords in the ALERJ website. The type of argument used will be analyzed. The protagonism of religious actors is observed.
