The author presents statistical data relafed to the activities of a Dispensary of Tubereulosis under his direction in Goiânia, Goiás, establishing a parallel with similar data from other services. He tries to show the adverse conditions against whvch the service is acting which greatly difficults its work. The arguments discussed show that the situation already unfavorable is prone to be worse, needing unpostponable measures suggested by the author.
