The authors present the results of an epidemiological survey on Chagas'Disease in Piauí, Brazil, using indirect fluorescent test with representative samples of filter paper bloodsmears from the population of 24 municipalities of 5 natural regions. 6,186 samples presented a positive rate of 4.47%, ranging from 0,88% to 11.00% in the various municipalities.
