In order to verify the occurrence of Salmonella with a multiple resistance to drugs, transmissible, isolated from animais, and its influence on the epidemiological situation in man, 136 samples of Salmonella isolated from healthy swine were tested; only 18,3% were bearers of this type of resistance, in clear opposition to the situation found among samples of human origin, in which, from 70 tested samples, 76,3% showed resistance to one and various antibiotics.
