The áuthors studied the antibacterial activity of oxamniquine on the species of salmonellae. They verified that dilutions ranging from 1.56 to 400 mcg/ml of the drug had no effect on bactériaI growth. These facts have implications in the treatment of prolonged salmonellosis as in the studies concerning its pathogenesis.
