Social capital, crisis of democracy and education for citizenship: the chilean experience

This article makes a diagnosis of the political and socio-economic difficulties that Latin American is undergoing and suggests the need to link the concepts of "social capital" and "citizens' education for democracy". In the author's point of view, educational work in the area of justice is needed, since it is in the latter that significant opportunities for participation, the strengthening of social capital and the enrichment of participatory democracy can be carried out.
