This text presents work in progress on the forms of collective action and political articulation that Brazilian entrepreneurs from the agri-business sector have been implementing in recent years. Our object of analysis consists of the joint strategies developed by the sector and by the Brazilian government in order to confront - within the international arenas of the regulation of world trade - protectionist practices carried out by developed countries, on the basis of a case study of recent victories that Brazil has achieved within the World Trade Organization vis-à-vis the US and the European Union regarding production, market access and cotton and sugar exports, respectively.
