Abstract
In this interview, Jane Calvert, reader and professor in Science, Technology and Innovation Studies at the University of Edinburgh, invites us to reflect on the Social Studies of Science and Technology from her interdisciplinary trajectory and her contributions to this field. Her long-standing empirical experience in UK synthetic biology laboratories has given rise to epistemic and social critical analysis as well as collaborative and participatory research endeavours, emphasizing the peculiarity of STS studies in crossing, entangle and contaminate different areas of knowledge.
