RURAL CHILDHOOD SOCIOLOGY: SOME CONTRIBUTIONS TO ITS CONSOLIDATION

Abstract

Based on reflections from a previous study, this work seeks to draw attention to the invisibility of children and rural childhoods in sociological studies. We consider that little attention has been paid to them, not due to their total absence from sociocultural spaces, but due to a lack of interest on the part of the sciences in this object of study. In carrying out this research, we found the embryonic state in which studies on rural childhood are still found and we emphasize that children living in rural areas are increasingly present in productive spaces, thus lacking a closer look at sociological studies. Finally, we also have the purpose of rescuing names and works from the sociological tradition, whose analytical clues can contribute to the construction of the Sociology of Rural Childhood.
