ABSTRACT
This paper is intended to evaluate how health professionals have addressed the issue of addiction in Primary Health Care, identifying the main difficulties related to approaching this issue and appraising how the Specialist Orientation can contribute to the care of those users. Data collection took place from seven interviews with professionals located on CAPSad and Primary Care services, who were participating on the Specialist Orientation activities at the municipality. Overall, it was evaluated that the Specialist Orientation had been revealed as an important strategy for knowledge exchange and management of network services, enabling a new look on psychoactive substances addiction.
