ABSTRACT
The present work investigates users and their families’ perception on therapeutic workshops role in the treatment at Centro de Atenção Psicossocial – CAPS II, in Montes C1aros/MG. Semi structured interviews were carried out with 8 users and 8 family members. The following perception categories were identified: Occupy time and Empty mind, devil’s factory (users and family members), What would you like to do today? and What I really liked was the talking (users only) and I wasn’t aware of it (family members only). The interviewees perceive the therapeutic workshops in a manner that deviates from its purpose of socialization in the psychosocial care context.
