The article analyzes home care service of the three Latin American countries with highest public social expenditure per capita in 2013: Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. It is a documental and bibliographical study about palliative home care which takes into account the changes in Latin families. The analysis is structured along two axes: the Latin Families socioeconomic context and the de-hospitalization policies' characteristics. The results show low availability of Latin women for family care work and the strengthening of this type of attention to health inequities.
