Line of care as a device for completeness of attention for users affected by neoplastic injuries on head and neck

This paper results from a qualitative study having as research subjects the users affected by head and neck neoplastic injuries. Through a semi-structured interview, the purpose was to investigate and characterize the flow of care to these subjects from a perspective of health care procedures at different levels of attention and management. Results show a fragmented care, pointing to the need of restructuring the existing care models by ensuring a flow of care that operates in an interconnected way. It was concluded that integrated care is essential to build health systems networks under the perspective of health care procedures.
