ABSTRACT
This essay is a descriptive, exploratory, conducted accomplished in a Psychosocial Care Centre for alcohol and other Drugs, CAPS-ad, in Campo Verde Camaragibe, a city in Pernambuco, Brazil, it has as main objective to describe the conceptions of the family crack users about the public policy against drugs. The population was composed by family members of treatment users in addiction of crack. The collection was made through semi-structured interviews and analysis with the software Analyse Lexicale par Contexte d’um Ensemble de Segments de Texte (ALCESTE). As a main result, we point out the weaknesses of public polices prevailing regarding the effectiveness of their actions considering the singularities of addicted users. Investigations are needed around this subject, in order to contribute to the (re) formulation of public policies.
