The 'Non-Said' in the work of Arthur Ramos

The purpose of this article is to discuss in the light of Arthur Ramos' work, particularly concerning anthropological studies of Afro-Brazilian religions, the reason why this Brazilian author dedicated so little attention to the Shango of his country, making reference to the persecution suffered by worship houses of Maceió city, in 1912, only superficially and without the concern to investigate the motivations of the episode which was called by its practitioners "Operation Shango".
